Goals & Self-assessment
In this part of my portfolio I will try to focus on my goals. I will also try to asses my level of English but I tried to integrate self-assessment to all categories (Listening, Reading, etc.).
One of my goals is to extend my vocabulary which I consider very poor. I am trying to read more in English and using "English-English" dictionary to do so. With a view to my field of study, I would also like to extend my vocabulary in Biology and Geography so that it would become easier to translate expert articles in those fields. It also helps me a lot to talk in English. I would love to try to live in Britain or in the USA so that I could improve my English more.
My second goal is to unify my accent because I am pronouncing some word with an American accent. I would also like to pronounce all vowel well and get better in linking words so that my speech would become more natural.
The third goal of mine is to clarify some issues of grammar, to study idioms and phrasal verbs.
As I am an ambitious person, I will never be content with my level of English. But I know my weaknesses and I believe that I can do much better in every single field of English. For now I will try to accomplish those three goals and I hope that then I will continue with some new targets.

My goals for next semester
My main goal for next semester is to widen my vocabulary. I hate those situations when I can't find proper word and I want to eliminate them. That's why I decided to read the newspaper more – there are many articles on various topics.
I usually read The guardian, but I will focus on those tabloids, The Telegraph for example, too (sometimes I have problems even to understand the titles there - so I hope it'll help me).
I think that I am working continuously on my language skills and I want to continue in that.

Spring semester 2016 Goals
My biggest goal is to acquire new vocabulary, again. I think that this will be my goal forever. I'll focus on English for lawyers and Biology terminology. I've decided to work on vocabulary more specifically and I'll see, whether it'll work for me better or not.
I will also have a subject Topic-based English, so I hope that it will make me learn some new words as well.
Another goal of mine is to learn to explain tenses. I've never tried this and I'd like to know how to explain the differences between them; think of the situations where to use which one; etc.
